Karen Berg and Rav Berg

The highly successful team of Karen Berg and her husband, Rav P.S. Berg, has made a tremendous impact on the world – primarily in America, but now already spreading globally. Karen Berg and Rav Berg are the founders and leaders of the Kabbalah Center, which is an organization with a number of branches in the U.S. as well as internationally, that is dedicated to the teaching of Kabbalah to anyone who desires to grow and improve their lives, as well as contribute to the betterment of society and the entire world.

The Kabbalah Centres offer lectures, online courses, books and tapes as well as videos on all aspects of Kabbalah, all delivered by top teachers in  a manner that is easily understood in English and other languages. Karen Berg, herself, also lectures, and she even has YouTube videos that can be viewed.

Rav Berg and Karen Berg run the Kabbalah Centers together with their two sons, Michael and Yehuda.

Kabbalah Center Established in 1922 in Jerusalem

In Jerusalem, before the modern State of Israel was established, Rav Yehudaoldjerusalem Ashlag taught the Kabbalah to his students at the beginning of the 20th century. In the year 1922 Rav Ashlag established the first Kabbalah Centre in Jerusalem. When he died Rav Yehuda Brandwein took over leadership of the center and continued to teach the great, ancient wisdom of the Kabbalah.

Before the passing of Rav Brandwein into the next world, he gave Rav Berg the mandate to continue the work of the Kabbalah Centre. Rav Berg, along with his wife Karen, have carried out the mission that was entrusted to them, and now the Kabbalah Center has branches throughout the world. It is possible to learn Kabbalah at the center closest to where you live,  in a study group or to learn on-line and over the phone. Karen and Rav Berg have taken the torch of teaching Kabbalah from their teacher and are passing the message on to the rest of the world.

Drink From the Well of Kabbalah with Rav Berg

watersprayWhat is the Kabbalah? This is the question that people have been pondering for thousands of years. Until Rav Berg and the Kabbalah Center began to disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah to all those seeking its message, Kabbalah was the exclusive knowledge of only the initiated.

But the Kabbalah Centre, under the guidance of its founders Rav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein and then Rav and Karen Berg, has brought the world-transforming wisdom of Kabbalah to all who wish to drink from the well of its wisdom.

Repairing the World at the Kabbalah Centre

Rav and Karen Berg, the directors of the Kabbalah Centre, teach that Kabbalah is not about philosophy or theory, but rather its all  about repairing the world through human action. This is where the The Kabbalah Centre Charitable Foundation comes in. The foundation operates by assessing what type of aid is needed in a particular location, which could be anywhere in the world, and designing an appropriate response which will provide the help that is needed. Money, volunteers and other  resources are directed at repairing and improving the bad situation so that the world is just a bit improved. In this way the Kabbalah, through the efforts of the Kabbalah Center, contributes to the bottom line goal of helping people and mending the world.

Rav Berg Brings Kabbalah to the People

Rav Philip and Karen Berg have been the directors of the Kabbalah Center ever since Rav Berg took it over from Rav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwien at the time of his death. Rav Brandwein himself had taken charge of the Kabbalah Centre after the founder of the Center, Rav Yehuda Ashlag, passed away. Rav Ashlag founded the Kabbalah Center in Jerusalem in the year 1922, as a way of spreading the message of Kabbalah to the mass of people so desirous of improving their lives and changing the world they lived in. Today you can be part of this world wide movement to improve the world.

Interesting…

Interesting how many diverse topics interest different people, isn’t it? There are those who are interested in politics, history, music, and so on. There are also those who choose various and differing professions – often the result of differing interests, likes, and dislikes.

In all  the choices we make in life, it is sad that many are defined by these less important concepts, when we could really be doing things for our lives based on what bring us happiness and love. It is quite clear that we should be looking to improve ourselves and our relationships with others.

How do you do this? Well, one thing is for sure, you have to make time and put in effort! What else? Look around for the material – whether written or audio or audiovisual – and get into it.

I may just do that, as I know of a number of people who have been studying the teachings of Rav Berg, of the Kabbalah Center. He founded the Kabbalah Centre, and also teaches there together with his wife and two sons.

Rav Berg Blesses

The Kabbalah can bring many blessings on a person, and the supernal light that is drawn to one who studies Kabbalah, teaches Kabbalaha, performs Kabbalistic actions or receives a blessing from a Kabbalist is immeasurable.

Rav Berg founded the Kabbalah Center, and he is recognized by those who attend the Kabbalah Centre and his adherents as a leading Kabbalist and teacher of Kabbalah. I do not know if he gives out blessings to people, but here he is making the benedictions at a Jewish wedding.

Kabbalist 72 divine names

There are 72 names of God listed in the Jewish philosophical and Kabbalah works. These names, which are written in Hebrew and many of whom have simple, literal meanings have tremendous significance. The Kabbalah Center teaches, through the classes of Rav Berg and Karen Berg, the many aspects of Kabbalah thought and also how the Hebrew names of God can be utilized in many ways and many fields of one’s life. This has caught on, and even those who have no religious affiliation are taking part in the classes held at the the Kabbalah Centre.

Kabbalah Concepts

An amazing thing about the study of Kabbalah – which can be done at the Kabbalah Center, see below – is that while it is an entire world of concepts and philosophy, there are many practical aspects that can and must be integrated in one’s life. The study of Kabbalah and any other Jewish texts aims to bring the person closer to God, and this must be done by implementing the concepts into actions. Rav Berg and Karen Berg lecture on Kabbalah at the Kabbalah Centre, and one of the things they try to do is get people to act. The Kabbalah Centre and its staff and leaders, the Berg family with Rav Berg and Karen Berg at the helm, thus has its own charitable foundation.
